Thinking is a bad habit !

For many this statement may seem like a joke, however when put into perspective … it’s not.

First of all we are not talking about the critical/problem solving thinking required as we navigate the physical reality experience. In that case thinking is essential for the survival of our physical bodies. ‘

What we are talking about here is the habitual, overthinking, the constant inner chatter and dialogue that most people are plagued with, from morning till night.

Much of this inner chatter is the mind replaying past events which creates a sense of lost opportunities where we could have, should have done things differently.

However most of this excessive thinking is in the form of worrying about the future and what we will do and how it will all get done to ensure our survival which creates anxiety because of all the uncertainty.

The end result is we are missing out on the most important part of our precious earthly incarnations… The Present Moment !

The future and past are just ideas, concepts, they don’t actually exist. The only “time” you ever actually experience “anything” is in the present moment, even if it’s a memory of the past or a thought about the future , your still having it …NOW.

So we ask the question, why are the vast majority of humans beings putting so much energy into “thinking” about something that doesn’t really exist ?

The answer is that most humans suffer from spiritual amnesia. They have forgotten what they actually are, (higher dimensional/vibrational beings having a lower dimensional experience.)

This is why it becomes so important to “Know Thyself”. Once you get in touch with what you actually are ( infinite consciousness playing the role of a human being ) only then can you begin to separate your core being or awareness from your thoughts and thinking.

There are many techniques and practices to getting in touch with yourself and quieting the mind, however all of them are simply permission slips, since there is really nowhere to go and nothing really to do. You are already all there is, you are already existence itself.

That being said if you want to get out of the trap of habitual thinking , like any bad habit , it will require discipline.

Below are some ideas for your mind to chew on.

You, awareness( that which we all refer to as “I” ) are not your thoughts, thoughts come and go, awareness is the only thing that remains present.

Awareness is the empty space between 2 thoughts, awareness is there before any thought arises.

Replace your negative internal thoughts, dialogue , inner chatter with a positive narrative, one that actually serves you.

When negative thoughts and internal chatter arise , ask them, on whose behalf have you arisen, and then bring them kicking and screaming into the shining light of consciousness , it’s the suppressed subconscious that creates fertile ground for habitual negative thinking.

In Part 2: We will go deeper into why it is so important to get a handle on negative habitual thoughts and thinking and how learning to “choose” beliefs and definitions that serve you will dramatically change your physical reality experience.

Going through this process will ultimately enhance your ability to manifest the life, reality your prefer as opposed to being a victim of your own self-created thought prison!

Remember , there is no “out there” , everything is happening within your consciousness, you are the master of your own universe, take back your power !
