Today 6/7/11 the sun unleashed the largest CME that I have ever witnessed in my years of watching the sun.
This was a massive release of material that is at least somewhat partially earth directed so expect some possible high strangeness in the next 48 hours.
With this much data headed towards us we are very likely to get a nice push along the evolutionary trail, so put on you sunglasses and enjoy the ride people.
